We Love: This Old Cement Factory

In 1973, architect Ricardo Bofill stumbled upon an abandoned cement factory just outside of Barcelona. This building made out of silos, chimneys, underground tunnels and machine rooms was transformed into La Fábrica, an impressive and impeccably renovated and decorated home and studio.

Although we’ve never visited this castle-like construction, we can tell by just looking at the pictures that there is so much more to this space than can possibly be captured by a camera.

If you’d like to know more about Bofill’s home, watch this video on https://www.nowness.com/series/in-residence/ricardo-bofills-house-by-albert-moya?utm_source=FB&utm_medium=SM&utm_campaign=FB200915
